Job summary

DARA PEOPLE LTD. is seeking a senior civil engineering technical lead to steer design assurance for major data centre campuses in Singapore.

You will oversee site grading, drainage, utilities and external works, ensuring quality, constructability and compliance across the project lifecycle. You will review consultant and contractor designs, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical teams, and drive on-time, within-budget delivery while

Qualifications

• Strong civil engineering design and/or technical assurance background.
• Proven experience delivering complex site development and infrastructure packages.
• Strong knowledge of drainage, grading, earthworks, utilities and external infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing consultant or contractor designs and coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Ability to operate confidently with senior client, consultant and contractor teams.
• Working knowledge of relevant local and international civil engineering standards and codes.

• Review calculations, specifications, reports and drawings for technical compliance and quality.

• Identify and elevate technical issues affecting delivery.
• Support defect resolution, inspections, punch-list close-out and project completion.
• Provide clear technical direction to consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Maintain design actions, risks, issues and technical documentation.

Job description

Lead the civil engineering design assurance behind major mission-critical data centre campuses in Singapore.

This is a senior technical role covering everything from grading, drainage and utilities through to roads, earthworks and campus-wide infrastructure interfaces — with real influence over design quality, constructability, cost and programme.

About the role

You’ll act as a key civil engineering technical lead across the project lifecycle, reviewing and challenging consultant and contractor designs while ensuring compliance with client standards, applicable codes and operational requirements.

The role sits at the interface between civil infrastructure, buildings, substations, electrical yards, mechanical yards and wider data centre campus development.

Key responsibilities

• Review and technically assure civil designs covering site grading, roads, drainage, stormwater, earthworks, utilities and external works
• Review calculations, specifications, reports and drawings for technical compliance and quality
• Coordinate civil interfaces with architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines
• Challenge designs around constructability, cost, programme, resilience and maintainability
• Identify and elevate technical issues affecting delivery
• Support defect resolution, inspections, punch-list close-out and project completion
• Provide clear technical direction to consultants, contractors and project stakeholders

Requirements

Experience within data centres, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, major industrial, energy or similarly complex infrastructure-led developments would be highly relevant.

Exposure to BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), 3Dx, Google Workspace or comparable design collaboration platforms is useful.
