Job summary

Tech Grid Asia Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an ACMV design engineer to prepare drawings, layouts, equipment schedules and heat load calculations for office projects.

You will coordinate M&E CSD drawings, perform site inspections, maintain documentation, and support procurement and project close-out while ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of ACMV design for offices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel).

Job description

Responsibilities:

Design Development & Engineering

• Prepare ACMV design drawings, layouts, equipment schedules, and heat load calculations.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, equipment schedules, and engineering documentation.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, applicable standards, and regulatory requirements.

Drawing Preparation & Coordination

• Prepare and update ACMV shop drawings based on project requirements, site conditions, and design revisions.
• Prepare and coordinate M&E Combined Services Drawings (CSD) to identify and resolve service clashes.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and clients to support design coordination.

Procurement & Cost Support

• Prepare material take-offs, source quotations, and coordinate material procurement.
• Assist in preparing quotations, cost estimates, and variation claims.

Site Support & Project Execution

• Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify installation conditions.
• Maintain records of manpower, materials, and project progress.
• Provide drafting and technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Documentation & Project Close-Out

• Prepare and maintain O&M Manuals, technical submissions, method statements, inspection records, testing & commissioning documents, and other project documentation.
• Prepare and update CSD and ACMV as-built drawings upon project completion.

Other Responsibilities

• Carry out other duties, activities as maybe directed by the company from time to time, either through its management or the employee’s direct reporting superior.

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher qualification in Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of designing ACMV system for offices.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong knowledge of drafting AC design into drawing using AutoCAD application.
• Perform cooling load calculations and equipment sizing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
