Job summary

Recruitco PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced procurement professional in Singapore to manage end-to-end procurement processes from sourcing to closing purchase orders.

The role requires ensuring compliance with policies, budgets, and audit standards while optimizing supplier relationships and driving cost savings. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in procurement or supply chain, strong negotiation skills, ERP/e-procurement experience, and proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and category sourcing.
• Experience handling ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, sourcing tools, and procurement databases.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with spend data analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, from sourcing requirements and obtaining quotations to issuing, monitoring, and closing purchase orders.
• Ensure all purchase requests and orders comply with company procurement policies, approval procedures, budget requirements, and audit standards.
• Source, evaluate, and recommend suitable suppliers, goods, and services based on quality, cost, delivery reliability, compliance, and overall value.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, rebates, service agreements, and other commercial terms with local and international suppliers.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and drive performance improvements through supplier reviews, evaluations, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
• Maintain approved vendor lists, item and service databases, pricing records, contracts, and procurement documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, demand trends, and supplier lead times to prevent shortages, overstocking, and supply chain disruptions.
• Ensure purchased products and services meet required quality, safety, environmental, regulatory, and client specifications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, process improvements, supplier consolidation initiatives, and procurement efficiency enhancements.
• Work closely with operations, finance, project teams, and internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and support business objectives.
• Perform any other procurement-related duties, projects, or assignments as required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience, preferably in facilities management, janitorial services, chemical distribution, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and category sourcing.
• Experience handling ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, sourcing tools, and procurement databases.
• Good understanding of cleaning chemicals, consumables, machinery, equipment, safety data sheets, and relevant safety or environmental requirements will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyse spend data, prepare reports, and present recommendations.
• Resourceful, analytical, and commercially minded, with strong negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Positive “can-do” attitude, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
