Job summary

Mavenside Consulting Pte Ltd is seeking a senior Business Development professional to lead growth in corporate interior fit-out and design-build projects. Based in Singapore's CBD, you will develop strategies, pursue opportunities, and manage client relationships with key stakeholders.

You will build a robust sales pipeline, coordinate with design and project teams, and drive proposals, tenders and negotiations toward successful project awards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Construction, Building, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant business development or sales experience, preferably within interior fit-out, construction, design-and-build or built environment industry.
• Existing network within the commercial interior fit-out and construction industry will be an advantage.
• Proven track record in generating new business and securing projects.
• Good understanding of the Singapore interior fit-out and construction market.
• Strong client relationship management, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Confident in conducting client meetings, presentations and commercial discussions.
• Strong commercial acumen with a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Able to manage multiple opportunities and work towards BD targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the interior fit-out and design-build business.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate office and commercial sectors.
• Generate new leads through networking, referrals, industry contacts, events, tenders and proactive BD activities.
• Build, manage and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, property owners, landlords, developers, consultants and other key industry stakeholders.
• Arrange and lead client meetings, presentations and BD discussions.
• Understand client requirements, project objectives, budgets and timelines to identify suitable solutions.
• Work closely with design, QS and project teams to develop appropriate and commercially viable solutions.
• Prepare and coordinate proposals, quotations, presentations and tender submissions.
• Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through proposal, negotiation and project award.
• Negotiate commercial terms and actively support closing of new projects.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Understand client requirements and identify opportunities for additional projects and services.
• Maintain regular communication with key accounts, clients and industry contacts.
• Represent the company professionally at client meetings, networking events and industry functions.
• Monitor market trends, upcoming developments, office relocations, renovation projects and other fit-out opportunities.
• Identify and develop target companies, sectors and key accounts for BD.
• Conduct market and competitor research to identify new opportunities.
• Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, consultants, developers and referral partners.
• Provide updates on market opportunities, sales pipeline and BD activities.
