Job summary

Wecruit Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to coordinate construction activities across the project lifecycle, assist in planning and tracking milestones, and ensure design and regulatory compliance. The role involves liaising with architects, engineers and consultants, managing resources and safety on site.

The ideal candidate will review technical drawings, monitor progress, mentor junior engineers and prepare progress reports for Engineering leadership. EA License No: 20C0270.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage assigned construction activities across the project lifecycle to ensure timely delivery.
• Assist the Project Manager in developing programmes, tracking milestones, managing resources and addressing delays.
• Review design drawings, technical specifications and construction requirements with architects, engineers and consultants.
• Follow up on consultant submissions, MOS, and other documents needed for planning.
• Assess technical issues and risks, propose practical solutions to improve efficiency and buildability.
• Monitor site progress and inspect works for compliance with drawings, specs, quality standards and regulations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to meet schedules and methods.
• Support site safety measures and ensure compliance with WSH requirements.
• Monitor expenditure, budgets, contractor invoices and variation claims.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager and Engineering leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Engineering or Project Management teams.

• Assess technical issues and construction risks, recommending practical solutions to improve work efficiency and buildability.

• Monitor site progress and inspect completed works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.

• Coordinate subcontractors and site personnel to ensure work is carried out according to approved schedules and construction methods.

• Support the implementation of site safety measures and ensure compliance with relevant WSH requirements.

• Assist in monitoring project expenditure, budget forecasts, contractor invoices, and variation claims.

• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve project issues.

• Prepare progress reports and provide updates to the Project Manager and HOD – Engineering.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering or Project Management Team.
