Job description

Join its biologics manufacturing team in Singapore. This is a 12-month contract role offering the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge biologics production in a dynamic and regulated environment.

Role Overview

As a Biotechnologist, you will be responsible for executing and supporting cGMP manufacturing operations within a state-of-the-art biologics facility. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, efficiency, and compliance of production processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute upstream and downstream manufacturing processes, including:
    • Cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale)
    • Buffer and media preparation
    • Column chromatography
    • Tangential flow filtration
    • Sampling of in-process and raw materials
  • Operate and monitor automated control systems and equipment (e.g., LIMS, SAP)
  • Perform equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance
  • Conduct quality testing and rework activities
  • Review batch records and worksheets for accuracy and completeness
  • Support investigations and resolve processing anomalies
  • Participate in internal and external audits and inspections
  • Manage documentation and demand work orders
  • Lead shift activities when required and assign tasks within the team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • 2–4 years of hands-on experience in biologics manufacturing, with expertise in either upstream or downstream processes
  • Solid understanding of cGMP regulations and manufacturing documentation
  • Proficiency in automated systems and data collection tools
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in troubleshooting and process optimization
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and audit readiness
