Job summary

Webbe International seeks an experienced Base Metals Trader to build and expand its trading franchise. You will develop trading activity across global base metals markets and contribute to strategic growth.

The role requires a track record of commercial success, a strong network across producers and buyers, and the ability to work independently in a growing business, with a focus on P&L generation and risk management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in base metals trading.
• Established network across producers, merchants and buyers.
• Entrepreneurial and able to work independently.
• Strong understanding of global metals markets and supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage trading activities across global base metals markets.
• Identify and execute profitable physical and/or paper trading opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with producers, consumers, traders, brokers and logistics partners.
• Monitor market fundamentals, trade flows, inventory developments and macro trends.
• Originate new business opportunities and grow the trading franchise.
• Manage market exposure and trading risk within mandates.
• Collaborate with management to develop trading strategies and expand coverage.
• Support development of internal trading processes and market intelligence capabilities.
