Job summary

JIN LI INDUSTRIAL INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior Base Metals trader to lead paper trading activities, develop strategies and manage the trading book within risk limits.

The role requires a minimum 8 years' experience in base metals paper trading, a strong grasp of metal market drivers, and the ability to identify opportunities and deliver consistent P/L while coordinating with head office.

Qualifications

Job description

Key responsibilities

• - Trading


• - Develop paper trading strategies


• - Manage the book autonomously (within risk limits); ensuring the trading positions and strategies remain within the agreed risk and credit parameters, and identifying potential factors that may cause these parameters to be breached


• - Generate positive P/L, and have a consistent proven track record of trade objective achievements


• - Liaise with head office to identify trading opportunities, monitor current market conditions, and inform them of new opportunities


• - Daily preparation of trading P&L and risk reporting for trading desk, dealdesk and senior management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• - Minimum 8 years’ experience in Base Metals paper trading


• - A full and detailed understanding of the fundamental drivers of metal markets


• - Experienced in developing and implementing of trading strategies


• - Entrepreneurial spirit, self-disciplined, able to take stress


• - Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, especially those of high importance


• - Strong problem solving skills and decision-making abilities
