Job summary

CITA Lab, founded in Singapore in 2026, seeks an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable backend systems for blockchain-related products. You will work on APIs, transaction processing, payments and wallet integrations, with a focus on high-concurrency, reliability, and security in fintech contexts.

Ideal candidates have strong experience with distributed systems, microservices, databases, and modern backend stacks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Go, Java, Rust, Python or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Experience designing distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong skills with RESTful and service-to-service APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build systems for transaction processing, payments, wallets, and settlements.
• Design and maintain REST, RPC, GraphQL, and WebSocket APIs.
• Implement caching and asynchronous processing; optimize performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in design reviews.
• Collaborate with Frontend, DevOps, Security, QA, and Product teams.
