Job summary

Future of Finance Institute (FFI) seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) in Singapore to design, develop, and maintain scalable fintech platforms. You will collaborate with financial institutions, tech firms, and researchers to deploy new technologies and solve real business challenges.

You will shape architecture, implement secure backend services, and drive CI/CD practices, delivering reliable software across frontend, backend, cloud, and data layers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience, able to work independently in cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with Angular and React for fintech frontend applications
• Experience with Node.js/Express, Python Django/ Flask, Java Spring Boot, or .NET Core
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker, orchestration and microservices
• Finance/FinTech sector experience; secure, internet-facing apps with authentication
• CI/CD, SQL optimization, database design for high performance
• Git, automated tests, and performance optimization

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications supporting FFI programmes
• Build digital platforms, services, and APIs for financial institutions
• Develop capabilities supporting industry development and technology adoption
• Design and implement secure backend data platforms and system integrations
• Work across frontend, backend, cloud, and data environments
• Engage with financial institutions and researchers to translate challenges into tech solutions
• Shape architecture and engineering practices for FFI's digital capabilities
• Implement automated tests, CI/CD pipelines and best practices
• Conduct code reviews and improve security, reliability, and performance
• Enhance platforms based on user feedback and evolving needs
