Job summary

CITA Lab in Singapore is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and build production-grade web applications using React and TypeScript. You will own frontend architecture, collaborate with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and security engineers to deliver scalable, secure user interfaces.

The ideal candidate has deep React/TypeScript experience, strong knowledge of modern frontend architecture, and a track record delivering data-intensive apps in fintech or crypto contexts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong production experience with React and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including asynchronous programming and browser APIs.
• Experience working with REST APIs and WebSockets.
• Experience building complex, data-driven production applications.
• Strong understanding of HTML5 and modern CSS.
• Experience with responsive and adaptive UI development.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks and E2E testing.
• Strong understanding of Git and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex frontend production issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade web applications using React and TypeScript.
• Own frontend architecture and make technical decisions around application structure, state management, data fetching, component design, and performance.
• Build reusable, maintainable UI components and design systems.
• Translate product and UI/UX requirements into responsive, intuitive user experiences.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST, GraphQL, WebSocket, and other backend APIs.
• Build real-time interfaces for transaction status, market data, trading activity, notifications, and other dynamic information.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Implement robust error handling, retry strategies, loading states, and graceful degradation.
• Ensure compatibility across modern browsers and different screen sizes.
• Work closely with backend engineers to define API contracts and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to improve usability and product consistency.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Conduct code reviews and establish frontend engineering standards.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Improve frontend CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and development workflows.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical planning.

What you'll do

You will take ownership of key frontend architecture and product experiences, working closely with backend engineers, designers, product managers, and security engineers.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with React and TypeScript, strong knowledge of modern frontend architecture, and experience building complex, data-intensive applications. Experience with FinTech, payments, trading, cryptocurrency, or Web3 products is highly desirable.
