Job summary

Tap Growth ai is seeking an experienced backend engineer in Singapore to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure backend services and APIs. You will build microservices, manage databases, and connect diverse systems to support data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate with frontend teams, data groups and stakeholders while contributing to testing, deployment, and Agile processes. Experience with Python/Node.js/Java and cloud-native practices is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in backend software development and building enterprise-grade applications.
• Experience with Python, Node.js, or Java and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure backend services and APIs.
• Build microservices and distributed system architectures.
• Develop integration components connecting systems, devices, and data sources.
• Manage relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design, query performance, and data integrity.
• Develop data processing, transformation, and analytics services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve backend, integration, performance, and production issues.
• Implement authentication, authorization and secure coding practices.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, data teams and stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Support testing, deployment, CI/CD and production operations while maintaining clean, well-documented, testable code and participating in Agile development activities.
