Job summary

Airwallex Singapore is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, operate and expand our global cloud network. You will drive production network availability, security, and performance across regions, working with AWS and GCP, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

You’ll mentor engineers, own change control, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable services for customers worldwide. Prior experience in fintech or high-availability networks is a plus.

Qualifications

• CCNA/JNCIA level networking foundation required.
• Experience in mixed vendor environments (Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, Aruba) in a global company.
• Strong AWS networking design/ops experience, 3+ years in production.
• Good documentation habits and change-control processes.
• Basic understanding of GCP networking concepts.
• Understanding of AI-assisted workflows and practical use cases.
• Solid CLI knowledge for networking hardware (JunOS/Ios).
• Willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
• Strong grasp of BGP and route-filtering principles.
• Outcome-oriented, collaborative, and decisive in incident handling.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand Airwallex’s global cloud network infrastructure across regions.
• Design team structure for future growth and mentor junior engineers.
• Implement and manage highly available production network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud.
• Manage global connectivity over leased lines and internet connections.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and cloud environments.
• Lead incident response, post-incident reports, and cross-functional collaboration across regions.
• Collaborate with InfoSec, DevOps, Database, IT, and Facilities to support initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive network documentation and runbooks.
• Evaluate networking tech and drive upgrades to support business growth.
• Participate in global on-call rotation and pre-scheduled upgrades.
