Job summary

Tech Aalto Pte ltd seeks a Senior Automation Engineer for banking and payment systems in Sydney. The contract role focuses on customizing automation frameworks, enhancing UI/API test assets, and aligning with CI/CD practices.

You will work within a scrum team on ATM, Connex, and batch processing initiatives. The ideal candidate has strong experience in banking payments domains, ISO message formats, and testing across transaction processing systems.

Qualifications

• Automation frameworks LeanFT, Cucumber, WinAppDriver, Playwright.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, Scala or Python.
• Experience in Banking - Payments domains.
• Experience in Transaction Processing and Batch Processing.
• Understanding of ISO8583/ISO20022/AS2805 formats.
• Experience testing ATM/POS hardware and L3 certifications.
• Knowledge of Connex, Base24 or similar banking switches.
• Exposure to Mastercard/Visa testing tools and simulators.
• JIRA and Confluence usage is mandatory.
• Experience with Oracle and ANSI SQL; SDLC knowledge.

Responsibilities

Role: Senior Automation Engineer - Banking and Payment Systems

Location: Sydney

Role Type: Contract

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Customize existing Automation Framework and Automation test assets like Regression Scripts w.r.t. UI and API to ensure desired level of quality and test coverage.
• Contribute to the estimates on the Automation test Script creation and Execution efforts for various features and new initiatives.
• Collaborate closely within your scrum team to find the best Automation approach and promote best test engineering practices in the Testing process
• Adhere to the Automation coverage process through effective mapping of test cases & scripts in JIRA
• Apply best test engineering practice, and supporting tools and technologies to specific features and projects
• Implement innovative ideas w.r.t. reducing the repetitive works using creating the reusable tools and artefacts
• Work Closely with DevOps Team for maintaining the CICD Pipeline which is explicitly configured for Automation Execution
• Effectively Analyse the Requirements and Define Testcases, Testdata and Environment Setup and Automation approach.
• Work on Squad Project Deliveries related to ATM , Connex, Batch Processing

Essential Technical Skills:

• Automation frameworks like Lean FT, Cucumber, Winapp Driver, Playwright.
• Sound programming & troubleshooting experience in one of the following programming language C# or Java or Scala or python.
• Experience in Banking - Payments domains.
• Experience in Transaction Processing, Merchant Acquiring/Issuing, Batch Processing.
• Good understanding of ISO8583/ISO20022/AS2805 message formats.
• Demonstrated Experience testing and performing L3 Scheme Certifications on ATM/POS hardware devices.
• Knowledge of Banking Switches like Connex on HP, Base24 or similar is highly desired.
• Experience in Master Card, VISA, Union Pay, UL Brand Test Tools/simulators.
• Knowledge of JIRA, confluence is a must.
• Strong experience in any databases (Oracle is preferred) and solid ANSI SQL experience.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and what it entails is a must.
• Proficiency in Java is desired.
