Job summary

IOTALENTS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Automation Tester for a 6-month assignment in Singapore.

The role focuses on web application testing, test automation, and QA within Agile teams. You will work with Jira, Confluence, Cucumber, Selenium, Zephyr, and Serenity to develop and execute automated tests and ensure quality across SIT/UAT and production environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computing, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Test Engineer, preferably with web apps.
• Hands-on experience in web app automation testing.
• Familiarity with the Agile SDLC and working in Agile teams.
• Knowledge of testing techniques: Smoke, DB, integration, regression, UAT.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and specifications to be tested.
• Develop and maintain functional test cases and data for automation.
• Plan, estimate, coordinate testing activities and monitor progress.
• Provide daily UAT testing status reports.
• Develop and execute test automation scripts as part of regression suite.
• Analyse business requirements and prepare specs for changes.
• Ensure quality across SIT, UAT, performance testing and production.
• Prepare test scenarios, execute tests, review defects, manage data.
• Perform unit, integration, system, database, regression and UAT testing.
• Identify, document and track defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure quality.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Computing, Engineering or related field

Job description

We are looking for an experiencedAutomation Testerto join our team for a 6-month assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in web application testing, test automation, Agile methodologies, and quality assurance, with hands‑on knowledge of tools such asSelenium, Cucumber, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, and Serenity.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Understand and determine the requirements and specifications of applications or systems to be tested.
• Develop and maintain functional test cases, test results, and test data using test automation tools and Jira Zephyr.
• Perform estimation, planning, prioritisation, progress monitoring, and coordination of testing activities.
• Provide daily reports on UAT testing status and progress.
• Develop test automation scripts and execute existing automation scripts as part of the regression test suite.
• Analyse clients’ business requirements and processes through document analysis, interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis.
• Provide input into the development and modification of systems to meet client requirements and prepare business specifications to support these changes.
• Ensure application quality across multiple environments, includingSIT, UAT, Performance Testing, and Production.
• Participate in test scenario and test case preparation, test execution, defect review, and test data preparation.
• Perform various types of testing, includingUnit, Integration, System, Database, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business users, and other stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computing, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–5 years of experienceas a Test Engineer, preferably with web applications.
• Hands‑on experience inweb application automation testing.
• Familiarity with theAgile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)and working within Agile teams.
• Knowledge of software testing techniques, including: Smoke testing, Database testing, Integration testing, White-box and black-box testing, Regression testing, System integration testing, User acceptance testing
• Good understanding ofquality assurance principles, methods, and processes.
• Strong knowledge oftest automation principles, methods, and frameworks.
• Experience with functional testing; experience in thebanking or financial services sectorwould be an advantage.
• Comfortable working with tools such asJira, Confluence, Cucumber, and Selenium.
• Experience executing software testing withinCI/CD processes.
• Experience withBDD frameworks, preferably Serenity.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Strong initiative, ownership, commitment, and results-oriented mindset.
• Good interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
