Job summary

Maybank Securities (MSSG) is seeking an AS400 engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our back-office team in a dynamic financial services environment in Singapore. You will ensure post-trade back office systems run smoothly, while developing new processes to improve performance and reliability.

You will design and maintain AS400 modules (RPG/CL), manage OS upgrades and LPARs, and lead the development of critical post-trade applications for matching, settlement and payment processing.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in technical support with trading or financial services applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in implementing and managing AS400 systems.
• Advanced knowledge of DB2/400, complex SQL, and data mapping for financial transactions.
• Deep understanding of capital markets, custody, clearing, and post-trade settlement cycles.
• Experience with high-availability tools, backup/recovery, and system performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards and MQ integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 support for production incidents in global sites.
• Design and maintain modules using RPG and CL.
• Perform OS upgrades, manage LPAR configurations, and patch management.
• Enhance AS400 system and develop new processes for performance.
• Lead design and development of post-trade applications (matching, settlement, payments).
• Automate and streamline post-execution operations (trade booking, settlements, connectivity).
• Integrate legacy AS/400 apps with modern platforms (APIs, middleware).
• Ensure regulatory compliance for data integrity and disaster recovery.
• Coordinate testing, approvals, and deployment of enhancements.
• Handle ad-hoc reporting and data analysis requests.
• Monitor performance and proactively prevent issues.
