Job summary

Singapore Army is seeking a Senior Army Engineer (Advanced Manufacturing) to lead the service's AM capability, spanning digital scanning, design, printing, and field deployment to sustain platforms and reduce logistics burden.

You will manage roadmaps, certification, and interoperability with defence partners, mentoring engineers and soldiers, and driving innovation for mobile 3D printing in forward areas.

Qualifications

• Un te recognised degree in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering.
• Mid-career experience (5–10+ years) in additive manufacturing or 3D printing for functional components.
• Strong systems-engineering mindset spanning digital design, manufacturing, and sustainment workflows.
• Leadership ability to guide technical teams and integrate AM technologies into military operations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with defence or manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute AM strategy and roadmap for Army platforms.
• Oversee scanning, reverse engineering, design optimisation, and certification of printed components.
• Lead reliability testing and field deployment of AM parts across platforms.
• Deploy mobile/forward AM capabilities to support field sustainment and reduce logistics burden.
