A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research is recruiting an Engineer to develop advanced manufacturing solutions by integrating engineering design, additive manufacturing and process development. You will translate concepts into manufacturable components and robust production workflows, working with multidisciplinary teams to validate performance for industrial applications.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace/Mechatronics or related discipline.
3–10 years of relevant experience for Senior Engineer; may consider Engineer with fewer years.
Strong engineering fundamentals in design, manufacturing or product development.

Responsibilities

Develop and industrialise components enabled by additive manufacturing technologies.
Assess the manufacturability of designs and identify improvement opportunities.
Apply Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to improve performance and production efficiency.
Develop LPBF build strategies, process plans and workflows for complex components.
Evaluate impact of design decisions on manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, quality and production performance.
Collaborate with simulation, design and process-development teams to translate concepts into practical solutions.
Plan and execute build trials, validation studies and performance assessments.
Investigate manufacturing challenges and implement design or process improvements.
Contribute to design guidelines, best practices and engineering methodologies for additive manufacturing.
Support collaborative projects with industrial and research partners.
