Job summary

GS Engineering & Construction Corp in Singapore seeks a Diploma/Degree holder in Building/Architecture to coordinate shop drawings and liaise with consultants and subcontractors on technical issues. You will monitor drawing approvals, manage RFA/RFI requests, and ensure drawings comply with contract provisions.

You will work with drafting teams to ensure timely submission of shop drawings, prepare as-built drawings, and verify details against specifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Building/Architecture required.
• Relevant working experience on HDB construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
• Good technical detailing, specification knowledge and aesthetic sensibilities.
• Local building regulation knowledge, submission and tender drawing experience.

Responsibilities

• Check and coordinate the shop drawings produced by drafting team as well as sub-contractors.
• Attend technical meetings with Consultants to monitor approval of shop drawings.
• Prepare and monitor RFA/RFI/RAM issued.
• Liaise with Sub-contractors on technical issues for timely approval of shop drawings.
• Monitor progress of site work in relation to the shop drawing schedule.
• Conduct regular site checks to ensure work on site follows approved drawings and check critical dimensions.
• Ensure details/material proposed comply with contract provisions/specifications.
• Compile material/sample/catalogues for submission to consultants in relation to procurement schedule.
• Resolve site problems on detailing.
• Obtain relevant documents/waivers from consultants regarding authorities' requirements.
• Monitor issuance of latest construction drawings to site staff.
• Coordinate prepared as-built drawings.
