Job summary

You will mentor engineers, evaluate model behavior, and translate field learning into reusable platform patterns, working with OpenAI models and APIs to deliver durable production AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with production experience leading end-to-end AI/ML projects.
• Expertise in Python and SQL for enterprise data applications.
• Production LLM experience, including agents, retrieval, evaluation, prompt engineering, and model integration.
• Proven track record delivering prototypes to production with high quality standards.
• Hands-on leader who can code, review designs, mentor engineers, and own customer outcomes.
• Strong communication with executives, product, research, customers, and engineering teams.
• Ability to standardize patterns while balancing customization and deployment needs.
• Calm under pressure, turning deployment challenges into reusable engineering patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead software engineering workstreams for customer deployments, owning architecture, implementation quality, evaluation strategy, and production readiness for LLM-powered systems.
• Build AI applications, agents, and workflow tools using LLMs, retrieval, orchestration, APIs, data systems, and production software practices.
• Guide engineers through ambiguous technical problems, reviewing designs, code, tradeoffs, and operating assumptions.
• Work directly with customer technical teams and business stakeholders to translate workflows into reliable AI systems.
• Prototype quickly, identify reusable patterns, and harden successful approaches into reference architectures.
