Job summary

OpenAI's Applied AI Engineering team partners with leading organizations to design, build, and deploy AI systems that deliver measurable business outcomes. This hybrid role is based in Singapore, with 3 office days per week and relocation assistance for new employees.

You will write and debug code, build evaluation systems, and guide decisions on model behavior, reliability, latency, and governance while collaborating with cross-functional OpenAI teams to drive customer impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing AI/ML systems in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on software engineering with production deployment experience.
• Strong Python development skills; familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
• Ability to translate deployment experience into product feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI systems delivering measurable business outcomes.
• Work with enterprise customers to translate opportunities into architectures and plans.
• Code prototypes, evaluation harnesses, and production accelerators.
• Make sound decisions on models, data, reliability, and governance.
• Collaborate with OpenAI teams to feed back product requirements.
• Help customers scale from prototypes to production systems.
