Job summary

OCBC Bank is seeking a seasoned WSO2 API MS Engineer to design, develop, and operate API-driven microservices powering payments and financial services. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver scalable API solutions across on-premises and AWS environments.

You will implement secure API lifecycles, manage integrations, and contribute to high-availability payment platforms. A strong background in Java, Spring, and enterprise API tooling is essential.

Qualifications

• More than 5 years hands-on software engineering in enterprise applications.
• Minimum 5 years end-to-end payments domain experience (initiation, processing, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, and payment operations).
• Strong hands-on API and microservices development using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Experience implementing and managing APIs using WSO2 API Manager and WSO2 EI.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and deploying containerized applications.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architectures (Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Knowledge of API lifecycle management, API governance, and API security best practices.
• CI/CD and DevOps tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based APIs using Java and WSO2 API Manager.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Tech Architects, and teams to translate requirements into API solutions.
• Build, deploy, and manage RESTful APIs, integrations, and microservices.
• Develop integrations with internal and external systems using messaging and event-driven tech.
• Ensure security and governance across API lifecycles and deployments.
• Provide production support and performance tuning for critical payment services.
• Document APIs and architectures, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
