Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd on Jurong Island is seeking an Analytical Chemist to support production, monitor lab results, and drive method development. You will manage equipment, supervise staff, and ensure safety, quality records, and timely project delivery in a fast-paced chemical environment.

The role requires 5+ years in analytical labs, hands-on instrument expertise (GC, HPLC, AAS, UV-Vis) and willingness to work on Jurong Island, with after-hours responsiveness as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or master's in chemistry or equivalent.
• 5+ years in analytical lab within the chemical industry.
• Hands-on with analytical instruments and troubleshooting.
• Experience with GC, HPLC, AAS, UV-Vis and related tools.
• Able to work in a chemical plant lab with hazardous materials.
• People management experience preferred.
• Willing to work on Jurong Island and respond to after-hours needs.

Responsibilities

• Production Support & Coordination: liaison with production units and monitor results.
• Lab Equipment Management: calibration, maintenance, vendor liaison.
• Manpower & Scheduling: allocate lab personnel and tasks.
• Procurement & Inventory: purchase and manage lab consumables.
• Safety & Compliance: lead risk assessments and quality records.
• Training & Technical Support: coach lab technicians.
• Continuous Improvement & Documentation: update procedures; out-of-hours availability.
