Job summary

GMP Technologies on Jurong Island seeks an Analytical Laboratory Analyst to perform tests, operate and calibrate instruments, and prepare reagents for chemical analyses. The role requires 2–5 years in an analytical lab and hands-on experience with GC, HPLC, AAS, and UV-Vis.

You will ensure safety and compliance, support method development, and manage lab inventory while coordinating with external parties when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in chemistry or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in an analytical laboratory environment in the chemical industry.
• Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with typical lab instruments like titrators and chromatographic instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests as per the analysis plan or ad hoc requests, record results, and communicate findings to operations personnel.
• Set up, operate, calibrate, verify, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure proper working order.
• Prepare reagents, synthesis standards, and calibration solutions for analysis.
• Conduct risk assessments, follow safe laboratory practices, and maintain quality records.
• Provide training and technical support to lab technicians while assisting in method development and validation.
• Manage the procurement and inventory of chemicals, consumables, and retain samples.
• Write and update lab procedures, organize third-party analyses, and assist in customer complaint investigations.
