Job summary

A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES is seeking passionate engineers to join our R&D team to advance AI-driven and knowledge-based robotics applications. The role focuses on translating AI models into integrated robotic systems that combine perception, planning, and control for autonomous automation.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop solutions that fuse machine learning, computer vision, and control strategies, enabling robust AI-automation platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in AI/ML and CV techniques for perception, decision-making, and motion planning.
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with Git/version control and modular code development.
• Knowledge of robotics platforms and ROS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop AI methods for information extraction from video, image, and text.
• Design and implement knowledge-based applications with graph databases.
• Translate algorithms into robotic/automation platforms for adaptive control.
• Develop the AI-robot interface for robust software-physical system communication.
• Support prototype testing and validation in lab and production environments.
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders.
• Assist in system deployment, commissioning, and field validation.
