Job summary

A*STAR's Autonomous Systems & Robotics (ASR) group in Singapore seeks a Development Engineer to advance AI-driven robotic systems for industrial use. You will work with senior and junior engineers on R&D projects, leading small initiatives and delivering both software and hardware components.

You should have a Bachelor's in engineering and up to 2 years in AI/ML-based robotics, with hands-on experience in Python/C++, 3D simulation tools, and ROS/ROS 2.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering fields.
• 0-2 years in AI/ML-based robotics and automation.
• Experience in Python/C++ programming.
• Experience with robot manipulation programs (ABB RAPID, URScript, KRL).
• Familiarity with simulation tools (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, Visual Components).
• Hands-on with industrial robot arms/cobots.

Responsibilities

• Discuss with stakeholders to understand problem statements and requirements.
• Study and compare new technologies; contribute to AI-driven robotics projects.
• Validate concepts using simulations and physical prototypes.
• Design and develop physical/software modules and system components.
• Test and validate solutions; support technical proposals.
• Engage with system integrators/vendors for deployments.
