Job summary

UNISON CONSULTING PTE. LTD. seeks an OpenStack Platform Engineer to design, implement, and automate scalable OpenStack infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure availability, security, and performance while leveraging AI-assisted automation to enhance operations.

Responsibilities include building OpenStack-based clouds with Red Hat, integrating with Kubernetes/OpenShift, and driving automation and security best practices across the platform.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Red Hat OpenStack platform administration.
• Expertise in Kubernetes platform management.
• Expertise in Red Hat Linux administration.
• Experience provisioning infrastructure with VMware ESX and monitoring with Prometheus.
• Experience integrating with Elastic Stack for logging/monitoring.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and AIOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and optimize automation scripts for deployment and management of OpenStack environments.
• Integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and other systems for interoperability.
• Troubleshoot OpenStack and underlying infrastructure to maintain stability.
• Implement security best practices and ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance tuning, and scalability.
• Assist in change management including upgrades and hotfixes.
• Explore AI and AIOps to automate OpenStack administration.
• Develop AI agents with OpenStack APIs to streamline operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis, review code, and perform unit testing.
• Maintain system documentation and playbooks.
• Mentor junior team members.
