Job summary

U3 INFOTECH PTE. LTD. is seeking an OpenStack Platform Engineer to design, implement, automate, and maintain scalable OpenStack infrastructure.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform availability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Red Hat Linux, and is adept at troubleshooting and automation. Generative AI and AIOps familiarity is a plus for modern infra ops.

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant working experience in OpenStack or cloud platforms.
Expertise with Red Hat/OpenStack platforms and Linux administration.
Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Experience with infrastructure provisioning (e.g., VMware ESX) and monitoring (Prometheus, Ops).
Experience integrating with Elastic Stack.
Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and AIOps for infra ops.
Experience or exposure to AI agents and AI-assisted automation for cloud/OpenStack administration.
Understanding of APIs, Python, Ansible, or Terraform integration.
Red Hat/OpenStack certifications preferred.
Experience with Terraform or IaC tools preferred.
Strong customer service orientation and initiative.
Knowledge of CI/CD in OpenStack lifecycles will be useful.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain Red Hat OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure solutions.
Develop and optimize automation scripts for deployment and management of OpenStack environments.
Collaborate to integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in OpenStack components and underlying infra.
Implement security best practices and ensure policy compliance.
Contribute to capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability.
Assist in change management for new versions, hotfixes, and SysAdmin tasks.
Explore and implement Agentic AI and AIOps to enhance OpenStack operations.
Leverage AI-assisted automation for monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation.
Develop and integrate AI agents with OpenStack APIs and automation tools.
Work with team members on root cause analysis and code reviews.
Create and edit system documentation/playbooks.
Mentor less experienced team members on procedural matters.
