Job summary

JOBSTER PRIVATE LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced OpenStack Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud platforms.

You will work with Kubernetes, Red Hat Linux, and AI-driven automation to ensure security, reliability, and performance across production environments. The role emphasizes design of OpenStack-based solutions, automation scripting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize capacity, security, and continuous deployment processes.

Qualifications

• Relevant university degree with 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/LaaS.
• Expertise with Red Hat or any OpenStack platform.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes and OpenStack administration.
• Experience with VMware ESX and monitoring with Prometheus.
• Experience integrating with Elastic Stack.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and AIOps concepts for infrastructure operations.
• Experience or exposure to AI-assisted automation for cloud/OpenStack administration.
• Knowledge of Python, Ansible, or Terraform and API integration.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership experience in technical environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain OpenStack-based cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and optimize automation scripts for deployment and management of OpenStack environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OpenStack with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Troubleshoot complex OpenStack components and underlying infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with policies.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Assist in change management for new versions and hotfixes.
• Explore Agentic AI and AIOps to enhance OpenStack administration.
• Leverage AI-assisted automation for monitoring, incident analysis, and remediation.
• Develop and integrate AI agents with OpenStack APIs and automation tools.
• Document system playbooks and participate in peer reviews.
