Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and industrialise components enabled by additive manufacturing technologies.
• Assess the manufacturability of designs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Apply Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) to improve performance and production efficiency.
• Develop LPBF build strategies, process plans and workflows for complex components.
• Evaluate impact of design decisions on manufacturability, dimensional accuracy, quality and production performance.
• Collaborate with simulation, design and process-development teams to translate concepts into practical solutions.
• Plan and execute build trials, validation studies and performance assessments.
• Investigate manufacturing challenges and implement design or process improvements.

We are seeking an Engineer to develop advanced manufacturing solutions through the integration of engineering design, additive manufacturing and process development.

In this role, you will help translate engineering concepts and optimised designs into manufacturable components and robust production workflows. Working with multidisciplinary teams, you will evaluate manufacturability, develop LPBF processes, and validate component performance for industrial applications.

The role is particularly suited to engineers who enjoy the combination of product development, design engineering, additive manufacturing and hands‑on process validation.

Over time, successful candidates will have opportunities to lead increasingly complex development projects and grow into technical leadership roles within advanced manufacturing programmes.

Requirements

• Degree or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• For appointment as Senior Engineer, candidates would typically possess 3-10 years of relevant experience in engineering design, product development, additive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering or related fields. Candidates with fewer years of relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Engineer.
• Strong engineering fundamentals in design, manufacturing or product development.
• Experience in engineering development, testing or validation activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and work within multidisciplinary teams.
