Job summary

WECRUIT PTE. LTD. is seeking an accounting professional to manage full sets of accounts, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations in Singapore.

The role involves preparing monthly management reports, P&L, balance sheets, and supporting schedules, while ensuring accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and provisions. The candidate should have a degree or diploma in accountancy/finance with 2–3 years of accounting experience, including GST compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• ACCA, CPA, or CA Singapore qualifications are advantageous.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience with exposure to full sets of accounts.
• Strong understanding of GST regulations and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain full sets of accounts (AP, AR, GL) and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L, and balance sheets.
• Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Monitor financial performance and highlight cost-control opportunities.
• Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments within deadlines.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.

Job description

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Maintain full sets of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Monitor business unit and outlet-level financial performance, highlighting cost control opportunities.
• Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments accurately and within established timelines.
• Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain proper accounting records and documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Prepare and submit GST returns, IRAS filings, and other statutory reports.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during year-end audits.
• Liaise with corporate secretaries and external service providers on ACRA-related matters.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), statutory requirements, and internal controls.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting

• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
• Analyse budget versus actual performance and provide variance explanations.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring, forecasting, and working capital management.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CA Singapore are advantageous.
• Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience with exposure to full sets of accounts.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, GST regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Meticulous, organised, and able to maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
