Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a senior security leader to own the organisation’s security architecture and posture across all product teams and cloud environments. You will define security frameworks, incident response playbooks, and escalation paths, while driving adoption through a Champions network and cross‑org influence.

You will shape standards and processes that enable teams to self‑certify against clear criteria, while collaborating with engineering managers to evolve the security domain

Qualifications

• Deep security engineering expertise with architecture focus
• Ability to influence across multiple engineering teams without authority
• Experience designing scalable security processes and runbooks
• Strong ability to review designs, read code, and earn credibility with engineers
• Clear, structured written communication for strategies and records
• Comfort operating in ambiguity while shaping a new function
• Proficiency in scripting and API usage for automation
• Solid understanding of identity, networking, logging, monitoring, and data security in cloud environments

Responsibilities

• Own security posture across product teams and cloud environments
• Architect security frameworks integrated into engineering workflows
• Design threat modelling methodologies for multi-cloud context
• Define escalation paths, incident response playbooks and metrics
• Drive security tooling strategy and alerting thresholds
• Define standards, runbooks and compliance approaches for self-serve security
• Build and lead the Security Champions model across teams
• Lead security incident post-mortems with root-cause analysis
• Stay current on threats and translate signals into action
• Serve as the authoritative security voice on architectural decisions
