Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Lead, Cybersecurity Operations Specialist to independently drive security strategy and operations across digital identity platforms. You will shape defense capabilities, oversee incident response, and guide cross-functional teams including engineering and policy to embed security across lifecycles.

You will lead efforts in threat detection, response, and threat intelligence, ensuring robust protection for critical public services in a fast-moving threat landscape.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 3+ years as a full-time SOC analyst, threat hunter or related discipline.
• Hands-on software engineering experience and ability to read and reason about code and system architecture in security context.
• Proven experience leading security teams and driving strategic initiatives end-to-end.
• Proven ability to lead incident response for complex, high-stakes security events.
• Operational experience building or maturing security operations capabilities (EDR, NDR, SIEM, SOAR, threat intel or detection engineering).

Responsibilities

• Own and drive security impact in digital identity spaces.
• Lead security capabilities from design to sustained operations and define detection strategies and playbooks.
• Make high-quality, risk-informed decisions using threat data and strategic context.
• Guide day-to-day and crisis cybersecurity operations; mentor the team through incidents.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security requirements early.
• Demonstrate ownership and bias for action; drive initiatives autonomously.
• Influence stakeholders and translate findings into business impact.
