Job summary

Julius Baer is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage the processing of security transfer instructions across multiple product types for our Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres. You will coordinate with internal teams, external sub custodians, and counterparties to ensure accurate and timely transfers.

You will input instructions into the core banking system, perform pre-trade validations, manage SWIFT MT5xx related tasks, and help maintain master data.

Responsibilities

• Process security transfer instructions across products (equities, fixed income, funds, derivatives) for Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres.
• Coordinate with internal departments, sub custodians, custodians, agents & counterparties; ensure work meets standards.
• Input transfer instructions into core banking system; ensure pre-trade validation checks; request security master creation if needed.
• Maintain counterparty SSI in the core banking system; ensure Swift instructions are in good order; clear Swift exception queues.
• Ensure timely payment of Stamp Duty/Tax and fees; participate in UAT when required.
• Demonstrate values and comply with regulations; work with teams to meet regulatory requirements.

General Description

• Responsible for processing security transfer instructions of various products such as equities, fixed income, funds, structured products, derivatives and physical precious metals from clients covering Singapore and Hong Kong booking centres
• Opening of custody accounts with various custodian banks and maintenance of static data in the core banking system
• Ensure daily activities are conducted professionally and accurately while ensuring that internal guidelines and policies are followed

Key Features And Accountabilities

Client Management (internal & external)

• Coordinates with internal departments and external sub custodians, custodians, agents & counterparties to ensure that daily work meets organizational standards
• Monitor the queries received and provide responses or holding replies within a reasonable timeframe.

Business Management

• Input of transfer instructions received from clients into the core banking system. Ensure it meets all the pre-trade validation checks
• Submits request for security master creation if the instrument is not available in the system.
• Maintenance of counterparty SSI in the core banking system
• Ensures that the instructions sent to the custodians are in good order, Swift exceptions queues are cleared daily
• Ensures timely payment of Stamp Duty / Tax and Fees, if applicable for any transfers
• Participate in User-Acceptance-Testing when required

Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management

• Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

• Good knowledge and understanding of the various securities products (i.e. equities, fixed income instruments, funds, structured products, derivatives etc.)
• Candidate with relevant experience in Security Transfer and SWIFT (MT5xx) knowledge will be an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office software
