Job summary

Siltronic Silicon Wafer Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced EPI/ Thermal Processing leader to drive process stability and improvements. You will oversee the EPI and Thermal Process teams, collaborate with global technology counterparts, and apply robust problem-solving methods to deliver high-quality wafer production.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, 8+ years in EPI/ Thermal processes, and proven people management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field; Masters/PhD an advantage.
• Strong EPI and Thermal process knowledge with 8+ years experience; 2+ years people management.
• Ability to motivate and develop a team; leadership experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of quality systems, data analysis, DOE and SPC.
• Proficient with JMP, Visual Basic; good with databases and queries.

Responsibilities

• Lead EPI and Thermal processes (Poly, RTA, LTO) for stability and improvements.
• Decide actions to resolve defects to ensure wafers meet quality, quantity, cost targets.
• Manage EPI and Thermal Process teams; plan resources to meet objectives.
• Administer staff-related matter, document approvals and SOPs.
• Collaborate with global Technology teams on process alignment and qualification.
• Apply 8D, Fishbone, DOE and risk analysis (FMEA).
• Summarize monthly activities for supervisor and report to leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for EPI and Thermal Processes i.e. Poly, RTA, LTO and drive for process stability and improvements with his / her team.
• Decides on appropriate actions required to resolve issues/defects relating to EPI and Thermal Processes under his/her supervision and responsibility to ensure quality, quantity and cost of wafers produced as required.
• Manage the EPI and Thermal Process Teams. Planning resources required for teams to ensure objectives are achieved.

• Responsible for administration of staff-related matters in addition to process jobscope.
• Approval and change of documents in accordance to internal signature regulations.
• Collaborate with Technology counterparts globally on process alignment and qualification of new processes, suppliers and consumables if needed
• Apply problem solving methods (8D, Fishbone, DOE etc.) and risk analysis (like FMEA)
• Supervises the administration of documentation for section under his / her responsibility. This includes manufacturing documents, training documents, SPC manuals, FMEAs, etc.
• Contributes to improving safety in production area / processes and environment goals as defined by SSG management. This includes ensuring documents such as JHA’s are updated and relevant.
• He / she shall summarize activities in monthly report and submit to supervisor.
• Directly reports to the Head of Department / Director / VP Technology.

Job Requirements:

• Preferably Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, Materials Science, Micro Electronics, or Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics). Masters Degree or Ph.D. is an advantage.
• Strong EPI and/or Thermal Process knowledge. With preferably >8 years relevant working experience in EPI and/or Thermal Processes and minimum 2 years of people management experience.
• Ability to motivate, manage and develop team. Experience in team leadership is an advantage.
• Knowledge of quality management systems, data analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC)
• Proficient in statistical software like JMP, visual basic, database and queries will be an added advantage
• Good communication skills.
• High sense of responsibility for her / his area. Able to work independently but also a team player.
