Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) in Singapore seeks an experienced manager to oversee the Diffusion Implantation Equipment section, drive team morale, KPI performance, and long-term success, and ensure alignment with fab requirements.

You will lead risk assessments, implement QMS tools like SPC and FMEA, manage R&M budgets, reduce scrap and defects, and collaborate with Process and Manufacturing Managers to optimize equipment constraints and OEE, while upholding EHS

Qualifications

• Requires Degree or Master’s in Engineering
• 5+ years in semiconductor equipment management

Responsibilities

• Oversee the equipment section's well-being: team morale, KPI performance, long-term success
• Set expectations for MRB, TECN, 8D, and specifications compliance
• Conduct risk assessments and track actions to closure
• Utilize SPC, FMEA, and Quality Management Systems for issue detection
• Establish continuous improvement programs to prevent quality and yield excursions
• Maintain a project monitoring system against fab requirements
• Set targets to minimize scrap/defects and improve process capability
• Forecast and manage R&M budget; drive cost reduction
• Collaborate with Process and Manufacturing Managers to resolve equipment constraints and optimize OEE
• Ensure EHS compliance and support EHS system improvements
• Implement spare parts inventory with usage forecasting and maintain housekeeping

• Oversee the overall well-being of the equipment section, encompassing team morale, KPI performance, and long-term success.
• Set clear expectations on compliance with MRB, TECN, 8D, and specification requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure action items are identified and tracked to closure.
• Drive effective utilization of SPC, FMEA, and Quality Management Systems for timely issue detection and continuous improvement.
• Establish and sustain continuous improvement programs to prevent quality, line yield, and sort yield excursions.
• Maintain a project monitoring system to track progress and performance against fab requirements.
• Set section targets and goals to minimize wafer scrap, defects, and rework, while improving process capability to meet operational needs.
• Forecast and manage equipment repair and maintenance (R&M) budget; drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Process and Manufacturing Section Managers to resolve equipment constraints, optimize OEE, and align metrology sampling with quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements; support EHS management system improvements and uphold good housekeeping practices.
• Implement a spare parts inventory system with usage forecasting; ensure team discipline in maintaining inventory and housekeeping standards.
• Define clear roles and responsibilities; set and regularly review employee performance expectations; support career development and empowerment within the team.
• Ensure all employees possess the necessary training, knowledge, and competency to perform their roles effectively.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering discipline
• 8 years of relevant working experience in Diffusion Implantation Equipment - Semiconductor Industry
• Min 5 years of proven track record in a managerial role with strong leadership capabilities.
• Highly driven, motivated and resourceful .
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills .
• Proficient in MS Office and good data analytical skill .
