Job summary

CASA LOLA PTE. LTD. is seeking a kitchen assistant to support daily meal preparation and station duties. You will clean and sanitise work areas, wash and store cooking utensils, and transfer ingredients from storage to kitchen as needed. Strong attention to hygiene and accurate ingredient handling are essential.

You will assist with deliveries, inventory, portion control, and plating, while training junior staff and maintaining health and safety standards throughout all kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Adheres to HACCP standards and hygiene best practices.
• Performs washing, cleaning and sanitising of all kitchen equipment and surfaces.
• Accurately measures ingredients for recipes to ensure consistency.
• Receives deliveries, checks items, and communicates quality concerns.
• Maintains inventory records and assists with stock movement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting, and chopping.
• Assist supervisor in inventory duties and ordering lists for the team.
• Ensure proper portion control and minimal waste to protect margins.
• Plate and present dishes according to section requirements.
• Train demi-chef and junior staff on kitchen processes and safety.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and health & safety compliance.
