BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD seeks a counsellor/mental health advocate to strengthen school-based support for identified students with high or additional needs in Bedok. The role focuses on upstream and academic support, plus interest-based programmes, with a focus on building resilience and social-emotional skills.

The successful candidate will mentor youths-at-risk, act as a positive role model, and work with teachers to monitor progress and provide case-based guidance.

Formación

• Must have passion for working with students-at-risk and their families.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to collaborate with diverse views.
• Emotional stability and resilience for challenging cases.
• Ability to engage, build rapport and counsel youths-at-risk.

Responsabilidades

• Strengthen during-school and after-school support for students with high needs (Upstream Support, Academic Support, Interest-based programmes).
• Provide mentoring and teaching of social-emotional competencies and life skills by experienced personnel.
• Create a psychologically safe environment and serve as a positive adult role model outside family settings.
• Collaborate with schools to provide feedback on student progress and consult teachers on student needs.
