Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace Pte. Ltd. is seeking a School Lab Care Assistant to maintain cleanliness and order in science laboratories. You will clean surfaces, wash glassware, and organize equipment, while assisting teachers with materials and logistics for practical lessons.

Experience in school or science lab environments is preferred. Strong English, reliability, and the ability to work independently or with a team are essential, with some flexibility during peak exam periods.

Qualifications

• GCE 'N' Level or equivalent qualification.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Previous cleaning or workspace maintenance experience, preferably in a school or science lab.
• Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, and collaborate with others.
• Willingness to adjust working hours during peak exam periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general cleanliness across science laboratories, including surfaces, sinks, and floors.
• Wash, dry, organize and store used laboratory glassware and equipment after lessons.
• Assist teachers with materials, logistics, and cleaning setups before/after practicals.
• Regularly check and top up lab consumables and first-aid supplies.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure safety and upkeep of lab machinery and equipment.

Job description

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• Fridays: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• No weekends or gazetted Public Holidays required (unless explicitly needed during special periods) .

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain General Cleanliness: Perform routine cleaning, washing, and sanitizing of work surfaces, sinks, and floor spaces across assigned science laboratories.
• Apparatus & Equipment Maintenance: Wash, dry, organize, and neatly store used scientific laboratory apparatus, glassware, and equipment after lessons.
• Logistical Support: Assist science teachers by preparing necessary materials, logistics, and cleaning setups before and after practical classroom lessons.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Regularly check, count, and help top up lab consumables, first-aid boxes, and essential school supplies to ensure they are well-stocked.
• Co-worker Coordination: Cooperate and coordinate with fellow colleagues on the safety and general upkeep of school lab machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Qualification: GCE 'N' Level certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of spoken and written English.
• Prior Experience: Previous experience cleaning or maintaining workspaces is required; experience within a school or science laboratory environment is highly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Ability to carefully follow instructions, work reliably under supervision, and perform both independently and collaboratively as a team.
• Skills: Strong basic organizational capabilities and professional time-management skills.
• Traits: High level of personal accountability, caution with sensitive glassware/chemicals, and a strong sense of responsibility.
