Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace is seeking a careful laboratory cleaning assistant to maintain cleanliness in science laboratories. You will wash, organize, and store glassware and equipment after lessons, and support teachers with materials and cleaning setups for practical classes.

The role requires a GCE 'N' Level or equivalent, and strong English communication. It offers on-site shifts with flexible adjustments during peak periods at a Singapore school.

Job description

Working Hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• Fridays: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
• No weekends or gazetted Public Holidays required (unless explicitly needed during special periods).

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain General Cleanliness: Perform routine cleaning, washing, and sanitizing of work surfaces, sinks, and floor spaces across assigned science laboratories.
• Apparatus & Equipment Maintenance: Wash, dry, organize, and neatly store used scientific laboratory apparatus, glassware, and equipment after lessons.
• Logistical Support: Assist science teachers by preparing necessary materials, logistics, and cleaning setups before and after practical classroom lessons.
• Inventory & Stock Management: Regularly check, count, and help top up lab consumables, first-aid boxes, and essential school supplies to ensure they are well-stocked.
• Co-worker Coordination: Cooperate and coordinate with fellow colleagues on the safety and general upkeep of school lab machinery and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Qualification: GCE 'N' Level certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Language Proficiency: Good command of spoken and written English.
• Prior Experience: Previous experience cleaning or maintaining workspaces is required; experience within a school or science laboratory environment is highly preferred.
• Core Competencies: Ability to carefully follow instructions, work reliably under supervision, and perform both independently and collaboratively as a team.
• Skills: Strong basic organizational capabilities and professional time-management skills.
