Job summary

GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Science Lab Support role to assist HOD-Science with daily operations and educational activities in a school setting. You will prepare resources, label materials, manage lab records and organise Science Rooms for lessons.

You will help maintain safety, assist in science programmes, and provide logistical support for assessments and competitions, working independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Experience creating digital resources such as presentations and videos using PowerPoint.
• Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec in science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and learning support to teachers, e.g., preparation of resources / materials for science laboratory activities and enrichment programmes.
• Label and keep records of science teaching and learning materials and lab resources; maintain loan records.
• Pack and organise resources in the Science Rooms and ensure rooms are clean and conducive for lessons.
• Ensure lab equipment, materials and specimens are in good working condition; conduct stock-take at least twice a year.
• Maintain safety by checking safety devices and reporting incidents; keep a laboratory incident logbook.
• Provide administrative/logistical support for science competitions, assessments and distribution of science materials to pupils.
