Job summary

GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a school lab assistant to support Science and Makerspace operations in a Singapore school. You will prepare experimental setups, assist teachers during workshops, and help with stock-taking and maintaining lab facilities.

The role requires an O Level qualification, strong English, and the ability to multi-task in a busy school environment. Prior experience in a school lab is preferred, with basic knowledge of laboratory chemicals and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have O Level qualification and basic knowledge of IT applications (MS Word and Excel).
• Proficient in English.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferably 3+ years of working experience in a school environment with basic knowledge of laboratory, chemicals and apparatus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare experimental setups for all lab activities and trial experiments and modify them as required for Science curriculum/enrichment lessons and Science CCA.
• Prepare additional apparatus for teachers and assist during Science Workshops.
• Assist in purchasing materials for experiments within budget.
• Maintain cleanliness of the two Science Labs.
• Conduct stock-taking of apparatus and resources in the Science department at least twice a year.
• Maintain laboratory logbooks for classes and for any equipment/chemical Condemnation.
