Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Science Laboratory Attendant in Singapore to support science labs and instructors. The role includes opening/locking lab facilities, preparing equipment and reagents for practical lessons, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in assigned areas.

The ideal candidate will handle chemicals safely, have lab safety knowledge, and ideally possess 1 year of lab experience in a Junior College.

Qualifications

• Must be able to handle chemicals such as acids and bases.
• Some knowledge of science laboratory safety.
• Preferably 1 year of working experience in a science laboratory in a Junior College.

Responsibilities

• Open and lock the science laboratories' doors and windows to keep the premises safe and secure.
• Keep lab equipment and workspaces clean and tidy.
• Keep assigned areas of the school premises clean.
• Help prepare apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science practical lessons.
• Clean, maintain and store science lab apparatus, equipment and materials.
• Support STEM instructors and help with other related duties as assigned

Job description

Job Title: Science Laboratory Attendant

Employment Type: Contract (12 months, with an option to extend for another year)

Work Location: 128 Serangoon Avenue 3, Singapore 556111

Monthly Salary: S$2100/Month

Contract Period: 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027. The college may extend the contract for another year.

Working Hours:

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays: 8:00am to 5:15pm, including a 45-minute lunch break
• Wednesdays: 8:00am to 4:45pm, including a 45-minute lunch break
• During examination periods, you must be able to start work at 7:00am. Time off in lieu will be given for hours worked beyond the normal hours.
• No work on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
