Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services Pte Ltd invites applications for a Science Lab Attendant at a Junior College in Serangoon. This is a 1-year contract (with option to extend) paying SGD 2,250 per month, with scheduled hours from Monday to Friday and occasional earlier starts during exams.

The successful candidate will open/secure lab spaces, prep materials, maintain cleanliness, and assist STEM instructors while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum primary school education; reading and writing simple English.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely (acids and bases).
• Basic knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of lab spaces and equipment.
• Prepare apparatus, equipment and reagents for lessons.
• Clean, store and maintain laboratory apparatus.

Science Lab Attendant (Junior College – Serangoon)

• Salary: $2,250/month
• Contract Duration: 1 year, with option to extend for another year
• Contract Period: January 2027 – December 2027
• Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:00am–5:15pm Wednesday: 8:00am–4:45pm

• All working hours include a 45-minute lunch break.
• During examination periods, work may start at 7:00am. Time off in lieu will be granted for additional hours worked beyond the stipulated hours.
• A 30-minute lunch break option is available, with working hours shortened by 15 minutes per day.

Service Exclusions: Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Job Responsibilities

• Open and secure laboratory doors and windows to maintain safety and security.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of laboratory workspaces, equipment and designated school areas.
• Assist with preparing apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science practical lessons.
• Clean, maintain and store laboratory apparatus, equipment and materials appropriately.
• Support STEM instructors and perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum primary school education, with the ability to read and write simple English.
• Able to handle chemicals, including acids and bases, safely.
• Basic knowledge of Science laboratory safety procedures.
• At least 1 year of relevant laboratory experience, preferably in a junior college environment.
