GAIN EMPLOYMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a laboratory assistant to support science lessons in a school setting.

The role includes opening/locking lab doors, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing apparatus for science practicals. You will help tidy lab spaces, store equipment properly, and assist STEM instructors with related duties. Candidates should have primary education and basic English, be able to handle acids and bases, and have some lab safety knowledge; ideally 1 year in a science

Competenze

• Primary education and able to read and write in simple English.
• Must be able to handle chemicals such as acids and bases.
• Some knowledge of Science laboratory safety.
• Preferably 1 year of working experience in a science laboratory in a Junior College.

• Open and lock science laboratories doors and windows to ensure safety and security of the premises.
• Maintain general cleanliness and tidiness of lab equipment and workspaces.
• Maintain general cleanliness of school premises as assigned.
• Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and chemical reagents for Science Practical lessons.
• Clean, maintain and store science laboratory apparatus, equipment and materials.
• Provide support STEM instructors and assist with other related duties as assigned.

Contract Period: 1 Jan 2027 to 31 Dec 2027 with an option to extend the contract for another year

Working hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8:00am to 5:15pm, inclusive of a 45mins lunch break
Wednesday: 8:00am to 4:45pm, inclusive of a 45mins lunch break
During examination periods, personnel must be able to start work at 7:00am. Time-off-in-lieu will be granted for additional hours worked beyond the stipulated working hours.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Scope of services:

• Open and lock science laboratories doors and windows to ensure safety and security of the premises
