Qualifications

• GCE N-Level certificate or equivalent required.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in an NFS/Food Lab within a Singapore secondary school environment.
• Competent in speaking and writing simple English.
• Able to use standard online platforms for email communications, along with basic Word/Excel.
• Meticulous planner, safety-aware and a collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and label ingredient packs and equipment for exams and classes.
• Weigh, portion, and organize ingredients, utensils, and workstations according to recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of waste; manage lab hygiene daily.
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, deliveries, and equipment maintenance checks.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lesson & Demo Preparation: Weigh, portion, and organize food ingredients, utensils, and workstations according to recipes before practical cooking classes.
• National Examination Support: Prepare, organize, and label individual ingredient packs and equipment allocations accurately for school assessments and national coursework examinations.
• Hygiene & Sanitation: Maintain strict cleanliness by washing, drying, and storing appliances, ovens, refrigerators, and countertops daily; manage proper laboratory food waste disposal.
• Inventory & Purchasing: Consolidate recipe requirements, monitor stock levels/expiry dates, manage ingredient deliveries, and coordinate equipment maintenance checks.
• Hygienic Food Handling: Maintain storage temperature logs, separate raw/cooked ingredients, and adapt setups for student food allergies or dietary restrictions.

Working Hours & Schedule

• Monday to Friday (Except Wednesday): 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Includes 30-minute lunch break).
• Wednesdays: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Includes 30-minute lunch break).
• Ad-hoc flexibility: Extension up to 6:30 PM may be required on rare school event days (fewer than 10 days a year).
• Rest days apply on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted Public Holidays.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: GCE N-Level certificate or equivalent.
• Mandatory Certification: Must hold a valid WSQ Food Safety Course Level 1 (or above) certificate.
• Required Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience working inside an NFS/Food Lab within a Singapore secondary school environment.
• Language Proficiency: Competent in speaking and writing simple English.
• IT Literacy: Able to use standard online platforms for email communications, along with basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
