Job summary

MAXHUNT RESOURCE PTE. LTD. is recruiting for PUNGGOL SECONDARY SCHOOL to fill a Food & Nutrition Kitchen Assistant role. You will support the Teacher Preparation area and two Kitchens, prepare ingredients, and maintain high hygiene standards during culinary sessions.

Candidates must have PSLE certification and WSQ FSC Level 1, plus at least 3 years of relevant secondary school kitchen experience. Working hours are Mon–Thu 7:30am–3:30pm, Fri 7:30am–12:30pm, with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• PSLE certification is required.
• WSQ FSC Level 1 Certificate is mandatory.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Food & Consumer Education/Nutrition & Food Science kitchen assistant at a secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Be present in the Teacher Preparation and two Kitchens during working hours.
• Receive and verify food orders from the food suppliers.
• Prepare ingredients and equipment prior to lessons, including portioning out ingredients.
• Maintain the two Kitchens to uphold high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Check and maintain ingredients, materials, equipment, appliances and furniture in good condition.
• Conduct inventory and stock-taking of resources (e.g., books, equipment, appliances, utensils).
• Maintain tidiness of the Teacher Preparation Room and two Kitchens.
• Assist NFS Teachers during culinary sessions, ensuring students observe safety rules.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the NFS Teachers.
