Job summary

Maxhunt Resource Pte Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Support staff to deploy at Yishun Town Secondary School. The role runs Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch, and excludes weekends and designated holidays. The candidate will assist with food prep, storage, and lab cleanliness, and support NFS activities.

Requirements include PSLE, SFA Level 1, and at least 1 year in a kitchen. English proficiency, teamwork, and initiative are essential.

Qualifications

• The Personnel shall have PSLE certificate.
• Passed Singapore Food Agency (SFA) Food Safety Course Level 1.
• Able to read and converse in English.
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen work experience from 2022 to the closing date.
• Has knowledge on handling food and ability to portion ingredients for practical lessons.
• Team player with a positive attitude and pleasant disposition.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Cutting and preparing specific portions of ingredients for NFS practical lessons.
• Store food ingredients according to food safety standards.
• Maintain refrigerators and clear food waste.
• Clear unused packaging and dispose of items.
• Maintain tidiness of Food Labs.
• Ensure all cookers are off and rubbish is disposed of after lessons.
• Verify main gas supply is turned off at day end.
• Stock-taking of consumables in labs.
• Assist in food ordering for NFS lessons and exams.
• Receive and store delivered food orders.
• Contact grocer for missing or non-fresh items for exchanges if needed.
• Fill up soaps and ensure cutlery/equipment are in place.
