Job summary

Seacare Manpower Services is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support NFS Teachers in a secondary school kitchen setting. You will help ensure food safety and hygiene during culinary lessons, prepare ingredients and equipment, and assist with stocking and inventory for two kitchens.

The role requires PSLE qualification, FSC Level 1, and at least 3 years of relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum PSLE qualification.
• Valid WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certificate.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience as an FCE/NFS Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school.
• Basic culinary and mathematical skills.
• Able to communicate confidently in English.
• Independent, responsible and able to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Support the NFS Teachers during culinary lessons and ensure students observe food safety and hygiene practices.
• Prepare ingredients and equipment, including portioning ingredients for culinary sessions.
• Receive and verify food supplies and maintain proper inventory and stock records.
• Maintain cleanliness, tidiness and safety standards in the Teacher Preparation Room and two kitchens.
• Check and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances, utensils and supplies in good condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the NFS Teachers.
