Job summary

Sunnyhill Ace is seeking a mature Kitchen Assistant to support the Nutrition and Food Science Department at our Singapore campus. You will assist with food preparation, ingredient handling, and inventory management to ensure smooth weekly lessons and accurate deliveries.

Responsibilities include maintaining high hygiene standards, supervising students during practical sessions, conducting safety checks, and coordinating stock takes and event support as needed. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on food preparation experience.
• Experience supporting home economics or food labs in local MOE schools is beneficial.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw ingredients and culinary materials for weekly lessons.
• Verify receipt of ingredients and kitchen supplies against delivery orders.
• Place weekly orders for ingredients, fresh materials, and cleaning supplies.
• Maintain an accurate inventory record of culinary stores, kitchen tools and reference books.
• Maintain strict daily cleanliness, tidiness and sanitation of the Food and Consumer Education Rooms and Preparation Room.
• Supervise students during practical classes to ensure safety and discipline.
• Conduct thorough safety checks after each lesson and during termly stock-takes.
• Provide basic support for school activities and events.
